Three Russian prototype vaccine against COVID-19 showed the effectiveness

Three prototype vaccines against coronavirus infection was successfully tested, said the General Director of the center “Vector” Rinat Maksyutov.

“This is the most advanced from the point of view of the obtained results preparations”, — he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Maksyutov said that in the center several groups are working on vaccines of new generation, with more than 100 employees.

“The most important thing is protection from disease in those vaccinated. To create a safe drug capable of forming this protection is the biggest challenge”, he said.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova called the center “Vector” one of the leaders in vaccine development from COVID-19.

Pandemic coronavirus has captured almost all countries. According to the world health organization, the total number of cases exceeded 9.8 million, of which 495 thousand people died.

In Russia have revealed more than 641 thousand cases of infection, 9166 patients died.
