Russian vaccine against coronavirus, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of defence, will protect citizens from infection for at least two years after the introduction of the drug. About it on air of TV channel “Russia 1” said the Director, National research centre (NRC) of epidemiology and Microbiology named Gamalei Alexander Ginzburg.
“The time of action of the vaccine, its protective properties will not continue in the short term, six months or a year, and at least for two years,” he said.

Earlier the head of Ministry of health Michael Murashko said that the first batch of the Russian vaccine will be released in two weeks. Vaccination against coronavirus is voluntary, including for doctors. Vaccinated, citizens will be able to monitor their well-being in a special application that is still under development.
The first vaccine will be given to the doctors and teachers. Citizens it will be available from 1 January 2021. The drug will be free. When selling abroad, the vaccine will cost at least $ 10 for two doses.
The Ministry of health issued a registration certificate for a vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 August 11. It was created in nits of epidemiology and Microbiology named Gamalei.
The vaccine will be made on the basis of the center of Gamaliel and the company Binnopharm. Issue focus primarily on the domestic market.
