Vaccine against the coronavirus will undergo a mandatory marking. “Vaccines are subject to marking. We have Mandatory labelling introduced from 1 July, and as soon as a vaccine against coronavirus appear, they are subject to mandatory labeling and will be labeled. All information about them will be included in the monitoring system that will allow us to track the volume and amount of those vaccines, as well as where they are delivered, how health facilities are distributed and, consequently, also to monitor price changes”, she said.

Merkulov said that now so you can track drugs that are recommended for the treatment of a new coronavirus as they are already included in the monitoring system.

On the marking

Now in Russia are testing the marking of products in several industries. In 2019 became mandatory labeling of tobacco, spirits, tyres and pneumatic tyres, cameras and lamps-flashes, as well as five groups of products of light industry. From July 1, provide for mandatory labelling of medicines and shoes.

For marking use two-dimensional code in the format of a Data Matrix, which is applied directly on the product package or product label contains detailed information about the product: product name, manufacturer, date, time, and place of issue. By 2024 Russia will be created a unified national system of marking and tracking goods. System operator — centre for the development of promising technologies, created on the basis of public-private partnerships.
