The court extended the arrest of a former assistant Furgala in the state Duma

The Moscow city court upheld the decision on arrest of the Governor of Khabarovsk territory Sergey Furgala in the case of custom-made murders, the correspondent of RBC. The corresponding decision was made by the judge of Tatyana Sokolova.

The meeting was held behind closed doors in connection with the threats that, according to the investigator Yuri Burtovoy, there were some participants of criminal proceedings.

Furgala was detained on 9 July, the next day he was sent under arrest until September 9. This decision tried to appeal protection.

The Governor is charged with an attempt to organize a contract killing by an organized group (part 3 of article 30, part 3 of article 33, paragraphs “b”, “g”, “h” of part 2 of article 105) and the organisation of custom-made murder of two and more persons (part 3 article 33, paragraphs”a”, “b”, “g”, “h” of article 105 of the criminal code).

Talking about the crimes committed in 2004-2005: in Khabarovsk Krai and Amur oblast were killed entrepreneurs Evgeny Zarya, Oleg Bulatov, Alexander Adamov and Roman sandal-wood trees. The consequence considers that they have had conflicts with Forgalom, which at that time was co-owner of the metallurgical company “the Myth-Khabarovsk”.

Testimony on Furgala as a co-organizer of the murders, was given four accused detained earlier reported by SK. In one case, with him are his former business partner Nicholas Mistryukov, a former assistant Furgala in the state Duma Andrey Karepov, entrepreneur and CEO of the company “Alteza” Andrew Paley, as well as inspector of the security service of Mendeleyevo airport in Yuzhno-Kurilsk Marat Kadyrov, said at the Basmanny court.

Furgal — one of the seven governors from the opposition parties and one of three representatives of the liberal democratic party. The Kremlin and United Russia had a claim to Furgala, say sources RBC. For example, the head of the Khabarovsk territory allegedly broke a promise not to interfere with the campaign of United Russia during the elections to the legislative Assembly of the region in September 2019. After the arrest Furgala held in Khabarovsk large-scale protests with tens of thousands of participants.
