The mortality rate of coronavirus infection in Russia as a whole is of 1.62%, which is one of the lowest in the world. This was stated by the Minister of health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, speaking at the third meeting of Ministers of health of member States of the SCO in the format of videoconference.

“The main objective was to preserve the lives of citizens, mortality rate was 1.62%. This is one of the lowest in the world, but we cherish every life, so health professionals work around the clock to save the lives of citizens,” he said.

The Minister added that they are now working on the eighth version of the provisional methodological recommendations for the prevention and treatment of the disease that is causing coronavirus, are also on updating recommendations for rehabilitation of patients. He stressed that for all the anti virus to Russia has not been a single case of refusal to provide medical care because of the shortage of places in hospitals. “We had no problems and shortages of resuscitation equipment. There was not a single case of refusal to provide medical care in connection with the shortage of hospital beds or the network, or the areas in intensive care,” — said Murashko.
