Coronavirus COVID-19

Experts have told, who may not need to be vaccinated against coronavirus

According to an infectious disease doctor Elena Malinnikova, vaccination may not be needed for those who have already suffered the disease in asymptomatic form

Vaccination against coronavirus infection may not require people who have already suffered the disease in asymptomatic form. That opinion has been shared by respondents TASS infectious disease physicians.

“If we are talking about the vaccine as protection against current infection and those who are now ill with the coronavirus, they vaccination, most likely, no longer needed. Although it is necessary to check each person’s immunity, the presence of those antibodies that protect against virus. All who are ill, should be examined, and if they have antibodies that vaccination is simply not necessary,” — said TASS doctor of medical Sciences, Professor, infectious disease physician, head of Department of Virology of the Russian medical Academy of continuing professional education Elena Malinnikova.

It is, according to her, about any form of the disease, including asymptomatic. “Still the presence of the virus involves the production of antibodies. By the way, this applies to any infection, not only in the fashion industry. It happens that the person does not know that he had been ill with infections, and he is still produces antibodies. And these antibodies we determined, sick or not”, she added.

Thus, according to the doctor, there is new evidence that there are several “variants” of coronavirus, more research is needed to understand the against all of them, the vaccine will be effective. In this disease the vaccine can not cause, said the infectious disease. Malinnikova stressed that before vaccination testing for the disease, and the issue of vaccination is addressed after a negative test result.
