In an interview with The Daily Telegraph he said that he doubted the Chinese origin, coronavirus.

Jefferson declared that SARS-CoV-2 was not created in a lab. In his opinion, the virus was present in different parts of the world, but was dormant. The expert noted that the environmental conditions have activated it at some point.

Jefferson also remember about the Spanish flu which caused the deaths of about 100 million people in the period from 1918 to 1920.
