USA has tested a new bomb complex “Golden Horde”

In the US tested bombs StormBreaker, which is a complex semi-Autonomous precision weapon Golden Horde (Zolotaya Orda). Reported by Forbes.

This week the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet first released the bomb during the test. StormBreaker features an intelligent automatic guidance system, which allows it to deviate from the course, select and attack targets independently.

StormBreaker can hit moving targets, vehicles, enemy tanks in bad weather, and smoke and even in complete darkness.

Mike Jarrett, Vice President of Raytheon Air Warfare Systems, developing a bomb, said earlier that StormBreaker “game changer” because she is able to find and hit targets.

It is assumed that the bomb will equip the stealth fighter F-35 Lightning II, F-15E and Super Hornet and B-52 bombers, B-1B and B-2. Due to the small weight of projectile 250 pounds (about 113 kg) — fighters can take on Board more than 20 bombs, and bombers — nearly a hundred. Testing of new weapons is scheduled for completion by the end of 2020.

Earlier in June during a test of a new U.S. hypersonic missile, an incident occurred during flight tests at Edwards AFB in California, where the projectile is accidentally separated from the B-52 bomber and fell on the ground.
