Trump offered to postpone the presidential elections in the United States due to coronavirus

The US President admitted that the next presidential elections, scheduled for November 3, 2020, may be delayed. The reasons he called the threat of a second wave of the pandemic and the intervention of other countries in the case of an election by voting by mail. “Postpone the elections until then, until people can properly and safely take a vote?” — trump wrote on Twitter.

The American leader reminded that in many countries there are new outbreaks of the “Chinese virus”. “In some of these countries the situation is already record. <…> The vote by mail has also proved that it is a real disaster. <…> Democrats say about foreign influence on elections, but even they know that postal voting is an easy opportunity for other countries to intervene in the race,” trump wrote. He warned that if the voters in droves to vote by mail, this election will be the most “inaccurate and unfair” in U. S. history.

It is worth noting that back in April, trump said that not considering the possibility of postponing the elections. “I never thought about changing the date of the election,” the President said, noting that November 3 — “a good number”.
