The Moscow authorities called the proportion of residents with antibodies to coronavirus

In Moscow, one in five people tested for antibodies, found immunity to coronavirus. This was announced by the Deputy mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova.

“I would like to present the results of the third phase of the study Muscovites to the existence of immunity to coronavirus. The study we conducted from 5 to 18 June. It was attended by more than 90 thousand residents of the city. We can say that population immunity continues to be formed, and today about 20% of Muscovites have such immunity” — she said (quoted by TASS).

In late may, the head of the Moscow Department of health Alexei Khripun reported that immunity to COVID-19 was identified in 12% of the 50 thousand surveyed in Moscow. According to him, Moscow authorities plan to test for antibodies to the coronavirus 6 million people. This study will help to understand the principles of formation of population immunity, Khripun said, adding that such information will be important during the second wave of the pandemic, “which is likely to occur”.
