The main non-staff epidemiologist of Ministry of health of the Russian Federation Nikolai Briko announced the main ways in which is spreading in the Russian Federation coronavirus infection, said the Agency “news”.
The lion’s share of all cases of transmission of viral infection occurred through the arrival of infected people from Europe. But now the situation has changed and all the major centers of the pandemic is located in Russia.
“Today, we have another phase of the development process of the spread of coronavirus — spread at the local level the secondary and tertiary cases”, — said the epidemiologist.
As stated by Briko, active dissemination of coronavirus occurs during close contact between people, mostly relatives, or when a large crowd of people. According to Ministry of health of Russia, in recent years there has been a significant increase in new infections in military institutions, nursing homes and hospitals.
For all the time of a pandemic in the Russian Federation, the total number of infected COVID-19 was more than 134 thousand people. The number of deaths — 1280. Until the end of may holidays, the country will remain in quarantine mode.
