Spain will study the waste water and bathing areas for the presence of coronavirus

The Spanish government commissioned an analysis of wastewater and water in the bathing areas for the presence of the novel coronavirus. This was announced on Saturday by the newspaper El Pais.

According to her, the Ministry of environmental transition has instructed the company Tragsa to carry out an urgent analysis. “To explore possible impacts of the virus on these waters were selected bathing areas with a large number of potential users, — said the Agency. — To guarantee the return to a new normal life, it is important to start these activities as soon as possible“. So, the authorities consider it necessary to hold “analysis of the use of reclaimed water in municipalities with insufficient purification [water], or river sections, lakes or reservoirs, which can be used for swimming“.
