Passenger transportation services included in the list of victims of coronavirus industries

Prime Minister of Russia Michael Mishustin has expanded the list of victims of coronavirus industries and has included passenger transportation.

Now the victim industry are the transportation of people by rail, sea or inland waterways, according to the website of the Cabinet.

According to the government, the demand for such shipments have fallen because the country introduced measures to 77%, compared to the same period of 2019.

“A similar situation was observed in the segment of passenger transport by sea and inland waterway transport. Therefore, it was decided to help these sectors“, — stated in the message.

Among the support measures include: the delay in the payment of all taxes (except VAT), interest-free loans for emergency needs and pay salaries, preferential loans at a rate of 2% for any purpose, the moratorium on bankruptcy. In addition, the industry granted a deferment of rental payments for use of state, municipal or private real estate.
