Netanyahu called an “emergency” situation of coronavirus is in Israel

Israel is in “an emergency situation” in connection with the coronavirus, the government may impose additional restrictions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a meeting of the Cabinet.

“We’re in the middle of a renewed attack of coronavirus, a very strong attack which increases and spreads around the world as well as here”, he added.

According to Netanyahu, the new wave of the disease challenges the health system of Israel.

He stressed that it is impossible to continue legislative work in the Knesset so, “as if everything is fine.”

In Israel at the end of this week recorded a sharp increase in the incidence of COVID-19. The daily number of detected new cases in seven days has doubled and exceeded a thousand.
