Italian scientists managed to develop the world’s first vaccine that could neutralize coronavirus infection. Researchers this fall will move on to testing on humans.
The first tests of means were conducted on laboratory mice. In the frames of the testing of the vaccine from the blood of mice taken antibodies which have coped with the destruction in the laboratory cells COVID-19. Thanks to the antibodies, the scientists were able to prevent the connection of the virus to human cells, causing the infection occurred.
“Probably we are the first to show how by the vaccine occurred neutralizing coronavirus infection,” — said the scientists.
If the research of Italian virologists will be no change then in the fall they will test the vaccine on humans.
Today in the world the total number of those infected with the coronavirus is more than 3.7 million people. On the territory of Russian Federation only in the last day found 10 599 facts of infection COVID-19, and the total number of cases for the virus has topped 165 thousand.
