Today in the United States of America there is a situation when the number of deaths during a pandemic coronavirus infection exceeds the number of deaths in the Vietnam war. This news is reported by National public radio (NPR), which refers to the statistical data collected by the Johns Hopkins University.
The fact that the Johns Hopkins University actively collects statistics on the occurrence of a pandemic coronavirus infection in the United States of America and in other countries.
In accordance with the data of the University, on the morning of 29 April, coronavirus caused the death in the USA, 58 365 people. For comparison, during the Vietnam war, the loss of the American side was 58 220 people.
It is also noted that the U. S. led military action in this South-Eastern country for ten years, accordingly, the loss happened during this fairly long time period. Pandemic coronavirus infection in the United States of America began almost three months ago. For this reason, the number of victims of the virus spreading is higher than the data loss from the war.
