In Russia, more than 400 outbreaks of coronavirus in hospitals, every tenth medic infected

Still in Saint-Petersburg coronavirus infection was discovered at 1465 health workers, and this means that every sixth person on account of coronavirus infection in this city, a doctor said the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov.

Speaking to the legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, Beglov said that as of Wednesday morning the city was discovered around 8,500 cases of infection. According to official statistics, the four doctors from St. Petersburg died Covid-19.

In the unofficial list of the dead during a pandemic of doctors listed online their colleagues, were identified 13 health professionals from St. Petersburg. This statistic is informal, it’s created mainly as a call sheet.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the Russian Minister of health Michael Murashko in his speech in the State Duma (lower house of Parliament) recognized that hospitals appeared about 400 outbreaks of coronavirus in Russia.

Despite all taken preventive measures, there are cases of transmission of coronavirus in hospitals, patients have reason to fear visits, the Minister said. He stressed that the worldwide pandemic caused changes in the provision of routine medical care on the part of health care.

In Russia, the number of coronavirus infections on Thursday exceeded 252 000, and to date, died 2305 patients with Covid-19. Earlier Wednesday, Murashko said that currently the country has more than 100 000 patients with suspected coronavirus infection, including about 4,000 children.
