During a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who heads the labor Ministry Anton Kotkov stated 1,243 million registered unemployed in the country. As the Minister said, only in March of 208 thousand people lost their jobs. The status of unemployed over the past two months has received 735 thousand citizens.

As stated Katkov, each person who after March 1, lost his job, will obtain the maximum size of the unemployment benefit, and it is 12130 virtually any. Thus, assistance from the state in 12 thousand roubles will be 208 thousand people.

For all those who lost their jobs before March 1, the allowance is calculated individually, dependent on the size of wages and seniority. If the family has children and one parent lost a job, the unemployment benefits he will receive an additional 3 thousand roubles for one child.

Since the beginning of the pandemic coronavirus infection in Russia, the situation in the labour market had become quite tense. Many companies, businesses and production was forced to close the doors. A large number of people remain in isolation, thus having no source of income. This explains the increase in the number of unemployed in the country.
