Coronavirus COVID-19

In Rospotrebnadzor said that COVID-19 is not transmitted while swimming

The CPS reported that fear of Contracting COVID-19 during bathing is not necessary — the virus dies in water.

“Open waters can not be considered a source of transmission of novel coronavirus infection, as water is exposed to large amounts of sunlight, which are harmful to the virus. Evidence that COVID-19, which is transmitted from person to person by airborne droplets, can spread through water, to date, no”, — said the press service of the Ministry.

Meanwhile, the CPS are reminded that in the water you can catch lots of other infections: cercarias, giardiasis, leptospirosis and rotavirus, and hepatitis, disenteria, cholera, Salmonella and even typhoid fever. Therefore, the place to swim you need to choose carefully and not to bathe for symptoms of SARS, the presence of wounds and abrasions on the skin, do not swallow water from the pond and after swimming, rinse with clean water, a home to take a shower with soap and a washcloth.
