Expert: re-infection with coronavirus may be associated with the characteristics of the organism

Chief infectionist of the Ministry of health Vladimir closets noted that vaccines are designed to form stable and long-lasting immunity.

Re-infection with coronavirus infection is rare and may be associated with features of immune system of a particular person, said to journalists on Wednesday, chief infectionist Ministry of health of Russia Vladimir closets.

“Re-infection is rare and is probably connected with the peculiarities of the immune system particular person,” he said.

Closets noted that vaccines against coronavirus are designed to form stable and long-lasting immunity. “Therefore, we expect that they will effectively protect against infection with the virus,” he added.
