Coronavirus: the latest data and statistics. Sobyanin: the peak has not yet passed

In the last 24 hours the number of coronavirus infections in Russia has increased by 5849 people, killed 60 people, said the crisis staff of the Operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus on Friday. Recall that on Thursday, staff reported on 4774 new cases, but in previous days the daily number of infections exceed 5000.

Overall, the number of infections in Russia has reached 68 622 on Friday, and the mortality rate had increased to 615. The number 60 people died in one day, is the highest in Russia since the beginning of the pandemic.

Since the beginning of the epidemic across the country recovered 5568 persons, including 677 in the last 24 hours. The largest number of new HIV infections were registered in Moscow – 2977 and the total number in the Russian capital increased to 36 897. Moscow accounts for more than half – 37 – the recent deaths. The age of the victims in the capital ranged from 37 to 86 years; patients were suffering from other chronic diseases.

Dr. Valery of the Evening, who heads one of the hospitals where new patients come quickly, posted a video from the intensive care unit. Doctor warned on the record that the chamber received the young patients in very serious condition, requiring mechanical ventilation. This can be prevented by following self-isolation – the doctor said.

Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin admitted on Thursday evening on the TV channel “Russia 24”, he cannot say that the dynamics of the disease in the city was positive. According to his estimates, the capital has not yet reached half way. The mayor also complained about the absence of the dispensing pipette, which led to a drop in the number of tests for coronavirus in Moscow.

The healthcare system in Moscow more than 40 per cent occupied by patients with coronavirus, said on Friday the Deputy Anastasia Rakova. She announced that by the end of the week will appear in the capital, more than 20,000 hospital beds for patients with Covid-19. Earlier Sobyanin predicted that Moscow will need about 80 000 places for these patients is 3-4 weeks. According to official data, the Russian capital is home to 12 million people, according to unofficial – about 15 million.
