The epidemic of coronavirus in Russia will be completed no earlier than the beginning of June, according to the most optimistic forecast. This was stated by Russia’s leading infectious diseases, Advisor to the Director, Central research Institute of epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, academician Victor Maleev in an interview with “Parlamentskoi the newspaper”.

He stressed that the scenario of the end of the epidemic is determined, in particular, and how residents will comply with self-isolation and other recommendations of the authorities to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

“But the final victory will be only when we develop a vaccine against coronavirus and all graft branches. But the vaccine will not be ready until the end of the year. Well, if possible before,” — said the academician.
