Authorities have found antibodies to COVID-19 every fifth resident of Moscow

Antibodies to coronavirus infection identified in 21.7% of Muscovites, said the Deputy mayor of Moscow on issues of social development Anastasia Rakova. Her words are on the website of the Department of health.

“The number of citizens with antibodies to COVID-19 continues to increase and now stands at 21.7 per cent”, said Rakova. These results the Department has received for the fourth phase of the study of population immunity to COVID-19.

At this rate of immunization is gradually reduced, she said, adding that over the past two weeks he has fallen from 2.5 to 1.8%. “This is quite natural, since the incidence among Muscovites is also reduced”, — said Rakova.

Previous phase III studies of population immunity showed that antibody COVID-19 have with 19.9 percent of Muscovites.

According to the latest data of the operational headquarters, the number of people infected with coronavirus in Moscow since the beginning of the epidemic is 228 thousand. Of which 163 thousand were recovered, 4 million died. In recent days it was confirmed 637 new cases.

Earlier, on 10 July, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the city reduced the incidence of coronavirus, and the second wave in the near future is not expected. However, he noted that the threat of the virus still remains.
