The head of The Crimea Sergey Aksenov expressed fears about the future of the holiday season on the Peninsula. In the ongoing meeting operastar to combat the coronavirus, the head announced that the holiday season may not take place.
“If the Peninsula is a favourable environment, then it may be a question of internal tourism”, — said Aksenov.
Domestic tourism is a regional program in which at the expense of budget funds is available rest in the Crimean health resorts of local residents. We are talking about 500 thousand tourists.
According to Aksenov, catering and tourism are the sectors which were most affected by coronavirus infection. The resorts and catering in the near future will not resume their work. As stated by the head of the Peninsula, by the local authorities for they are preparing a number of support measures in difficult times.
Also the head of the Crimea gave the advice not to build illusions about the closest restrictions. In his opinion, a full recovery of the economy is possible only after the invention of vaccines against coronavirus infection.
On the Peninsula the high alert was imposed on March 17, and since the 3rd of April all the citizens of the region are on a mandatory isolation.
