Academician voiced condition for the completion of the first wave of coronavirus

The scientist believes that there is no need to introduce a new quarantine.

The first and only wave COVID-19 will continue as long as the country has not been ill 70-80% of the population. This opinion was expressed by academician of RAS, head of chair of Microbiology, Virology, immunology sechenovskiy University Vitaly Zverev, writes “Interfax”.

According to the academician, the autumn rise in incidence of SARS expected. But this does not mean that the “new wave”.

— What is new wave? We have first comes and will go, I repeat, it’s not been ill 70-80% of the population. And there is no need to fear and, moreover, require the introduction of a new quarantine — said Zverev, stressing that the surge in incidence in the autumn will be associated not only with the coronavirus, as with other respiratory diseases, the rise of which is fixed every year.
