Epidemiologist, Ministry of health assessed the situation with the registration of the vaccine

Head, Department of epidemiology and evidence-based medicine of the First MGMU named after I. M. Sechenov, chief epidemiologist, Ministry of health of Russia Nikolay Briko assessed the situation with the registration of the vaccine COVID-19.

Previously RBC reported that the Association of clinical research called for the postponement of the state registration of vaccines against coronavirus infection COVID-19.

“If we are talking about the vaccine, which was developed by the center Gamalei, it did not arise in a vacuum. For more than ten years works in this direction the center, there is a vaccine against Ebola, against middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS). When creating vaccines from COVID-19 used the same technology, based on adenovirus,” Briko said RIA Novosti.

He noted that technology is perfected.

Previously Deputy head of Roszdravnadzor Valentina Kosenko commented on the situation with registration of the vaccine.

Russian expert Sergei Glagolev in an interview with TV channel “360” noted that “each fact of application of the vaccine will be tracked in a specialized information system, where the regulator can observe its epidemiological effectiveness.”

The Director of the who programme on emergency health Michael Ryan said that people “will get their vaccine early in the first half of next year.”
